Video Conferencing with
Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro

Starting Spring Semester 2009, Michigan Tech evaluated Adobe's Acrobat Connect Pro. Connect Pro allows you to have real-time, multi-point collaborative meetings online. This technology includes chat, video, VoIP, whiteboards, native PowerPoint presenting and sharing, desktop/application sharing and more. Hardware recommendations:

While most webcams, microphones and speakers are compatible with Adobe Connect Pro, the following camera and headset (available for purchase at the campus bookstore) are compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows platforms and offer good quality sound/picture. (For best quality, it is recommended that a headset is used for in office meetings or a noise cancelling microphone for conference rooms.)
