Electronic Display System ( EDS)

Michigan Tech’s Electronic Display System (EDS) is designed to distribute emergency messages and campus announcements with subscription news and local weather to the university community. Messages are displayed on video monitors throughout campus, on MTU Cable TV Channel 27, and streamed on campus-networked computers. Educational Technology Services supports this service.

This system is intended for announcements from Student Services such as registration/scheduling, University Career Center, and notices of emergencies. Others may use the Electronic Display System to announce campus activities, which are of general interest to the University community such as: concerts, lectures, sporting and cultural events, and special group meetings.
