Videoconference at Michigan Tech
Michigan Tech has videoconferencing systems, personnel, and facilities for both H.320 ( via Merit Network), H.323 (IP) conferencing and web-based video conferencing.
High Definition videoconferencing is now available with LifeSize < http://lifesize.com> providing clear video quality and multimedia sharing amongst endpoints. In addition to the High Definition videoconferencing service, MTU has partnered with Merit Networks to provide support for Michigan Tech's ISDN gateway/bridging services for videoconferencing. Please note that the local MTU videoconference ISDN/gateway service has been suspended effective immediately.

Marratech
Marratech is an Internet collaboration solution for virtual and emeetings. Educational Technology supports the Marratech Manager at MTU, which has a 30-seat license. The client is free and works on Mac, Window and Linux. Click here to download the client. SCHEDULING A VIDEOCONFERENCE
Videoconferences should be requested at least two weeks in advance. Send e-mail to <videocon@mtu.edu>. Please provide the following information: - name, phone number, and e-mail address of person requesting the videoconference
- name, phone number, and e-mail address of the contacts at the remote site(s)
- date, time, length, and title of conference
- number of people expected to attend at each site
- MTU account number or billing invoice address
- conference needs: video, graphics, PC, room layout, catering, etc.
